What You'll Do as a Waste Management Specialist:

• Collect and transport waste: Operate various vehicles, such as trucks or compactors, to collect waste from residential, commercial, and industrial areas.
• Sort and recycle waste: Separate recyclable materials from non-recyclable waste and prepare them for processing.
• Handle hazardous materials: Properly handle and dispose of hazardous waste according to regulations and safety protocols.
• Maintain equipment: Inspect and maintain vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Follow environmental regulations: Comply with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and guidelines.
