What You'll Do as a Director:
- Oversee emergency medical services operations: Manage and coordinate the daily operations of emergency medical services (EMS) agencies, including ambulance services, dispatch centers, and medical bases.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans: Create and implement emergency response plans for various types of emergencies, such as natural disasters, mass casualty incidents, and hazardous material spills.
- Ensure compliance with regulations: Ensure that EMS agencies comply with all relevant regulations, standards, and protocols, including those related to patient care, equipment, and staffing.
- Manage and train EMS personnel: Recruit, hire, and train EMS personnel, including paramedics, EMTs, and dispatchers.
- Coordinate with other emergency response agencies: Collaborate with other emergency response agencies, such as fire departments, police departments, and hospitals, to ensure effective coordination during emergency situations.
